Thankful Thursday Creations with Impressionist Artist September McGee

"Ballet Series - Seated Ballerina #1"

This painting is a pastel on board
of a  beautiful ballerina.
I was trying to capture her
reflection in the mirror, which is
always fun!

Many times we see our
reflection in the mirror and
when we do, say nice things
to ourselves.  BE GRATEFUL
for the wonder we have in
our lives,
the love,
the fun,
the friends,
the freedom.

The world is always reflecting
back to us what we are
sending out.

Today,
send our gratitude,
laughter,
confidence,
a belief in yourself.
Love yourself.
Love life.
Be happy.

Have the most wonderful
day you have ever had!

Blessings,

September McGee

Monday Beginnings and Blessings from American Impressionist September McGee

Giorno di bucata - Wash Day

This is an oil on panel from my
travels to Italy.
I stayed in the house directly to the left
of this wonderful woman carrying her laundry.
The Italian people are so loving, warm,
friendly and kind.
I am lucky to carry my laundry
to the laundry room!

This is one of the reasons I love to
paint, because each rendering evokes fond
memories of the people and places
I have been.  And, paintings
last a lifetime and are then passed on
to bless someone else's life!
The joy of painting and leaving
behind uplifting visuals
for all to see is truly a blessing!

On this beautiful day I offer all of
you blessings beyond belief
and more!

Breaking News! Attained Honorable status of Signature Member with the PSWC!

"Cafe Series - Sunday Afternoon"

This is a pastel on board that was
just accepted into the 24th "Pastels USA"
International Exhibition with the Pastel
Society of the West Coast!

This acceptance earned me the
Honorable status of
Signature Member!

The exhibition runs the month of
June through July at the
Art Museum of Los Gatos
in California.
This is my second Signature Member Status
I have attained.

"Congratulations! You are now officially a signature member. You will receive a pin and a certificate at the reception or if you can not make it they will be mailed to you."
Sincerely,
Tina Moore
PSWC Awards Chair
Pastel Society of the West Coast

With this society it takes a minimum
of three years as a member
to attain Signature Status
by having your work juried and accepted
into the PSWC International
Exhibition three times.
Signature Status means you can use
the letters PSWC after
your signature on your paintings!

It's very exciting and it will
be even more exciting when the awards
juror, Richard McKinley
gives out art awards at the show!

Happy Tuesday Blessings,

New Creations from American Impressionist Artist September McGee

"Couch "Series - Saturday Night"

This rendering is brand new and
one of my favorites.  It is an oil
on a museum panel.  The woman who
posed for this piece is a remarkable
intelligent woman who is
beautiful inside and out.
She has posed for me for
several years now and from this
we have become true friends.
How lucky can you get?

Today is lucky Thursday and
I count my blessings:

my friends and family
my creativity
my health
my love of life

Mid Week Creations with American Impressionist Artist September McGee

"Couch Series - A Special Night"

This is an oil on an Italian Pannelli panel
and is a brand new piece as part of
my Couch Series!

I just finished the final touches of this
piece and wanted to showcase it
in todays creative musings.
The model for this painting
attended my Gala Reception
for my Solo Exhibition.
She is a gorgeous woman
inside and out and
an honor to know
and love!

"I too attended September McGee’s Gala Reception and have to say that there were so many gorgeous themes in September's array of paintings - many of my friends commented on the Street Car and also the orchestra paintings. I had too many favorites to choose just one as I'm a big fan of all of her amazing work. What a lovely night to be surrounded by such beauty and the fact that September’s energy is so warm and inviting."

Monday Musings in April with American Impressionist September McGee

"Couch Series - Kailee and Muffin"

This piece is an emotional painting I
just completed of my daughter
Kailee McGee and our beloved cat, Muffin.
The rendering is a pastel on board
and the technique I used takes a
great deal of time to create, but I have
to admit I am happy with the results!
It has lively colors and petites touches
that give the painting an impressionist
flavor while still maintaining form
and a sense of realism.

With my solo exhibition now complete
and a huge success I am on to
many new and exciting projects.
Stay tuned for updates!

Monday Blessings!
