Merry Christmas to all our Armed Forces from American Impressionist Artist September McGee

First Sergeant Harvey E. Walden IV

Merry Christmas to all and especially to everyone serving in our Armed Forces!

This is a commissioned portrait I was honored to paint of
Sergeant Harvey E. Walden IV
who served in the United States Marines for over twenty years!

What an honor it is to be commissioned to paint him.

Kimberley Locke with commissioned portrait.

His girlfriend, Kimberley Locke, second runner up in American Idol, Season 2, asked me to paint Harvey as a special surprise for him for Christmas.
Kimberley who is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out, can sing!
This girl has the pipes.  She can sing county and she can sing blues and she can sing anything!  Have you heard her lately.  She just worked with Randy Jackson cutting a new single and you better go out and get it.  She ROCKS! Will keep you posted on its arrival.  In the interim go get her CD's she is unbelievable.

Kimberley and Harvey have been together for over two and a half years and they are the awesome couple of the century.  Harvey works on TV's Celebrity Fit Club and can get anyone in shape.  He has served our country and now he is giving  back even more helping people to get fit and stay in shape.

It all started when Hollywood Hairy Guy, Dean Banowitz (Dean Bano to me), MASTER of hair and former hairstylist for American Idol recommended me to Kimberley to do the portrait.  Dean does my hair and this guy cuts my hair so well I barely have to lift a finger to make my blonde locks look great.
Dean ROCKS.

So here's the win win win situation.  Want to know anything and everything about hair go to Dean Bano, Hollywood Hair Guy and get the latest scoop on tresses and cuts and color.....want to hear the best in music from the most amazing woman check out Kimberley Locke....want to get in shape from the
US Marine who has the best plan to get you there,
check out First Sergeant Harvey E. Walden IV

Now that's a Christmas package you can't go wrong with.
Its the gift of a lifetime...hair, music and getting in shape...which leaves art...and that's where I come in....and believe me I can think of no bigger honor as an American Artist, than to be asked to paint someone who has helped keep this wonderful country of ours safe and free.  Everytime I put a brushstroke on Harvey's portrait I was in awe.

Everyone who has served this wonderful country of ours ROCKS and I am ever so grateful to all of you for your unselfish gift of keeping the United States of America free.  I am so proud to be an American.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I will keep posting this for several more days, so please add your comments and your well wishes to all who are serving our country both here and abroad.  We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and come home safely....you are in our hearts and prayers.

with Christmas blessings

Merry Christmas to all serving in our Armed Forces and thank you! from American artist September McGee

First Sergeant Harvey E. Walden IV

I was commissioned by Kimberley D. Locke, second runner up on American Idol,
Season 2, to paint her boyfriend,
First Sergeant Harvey E. Walden IV
as a surprise gift for him for Christmas.
Sgt. Walden served in the United States Marine Corps
for over 20 years as Gunnery Sergeant.
Harvey hails from Chicago and  joined the Marines at age 17! He is now a
fitness trainer on TV's Celebrity Fit Club.

It is always an honor to help surprise someone as a special gift on any occasion
and even more special at Christmastime.  And, don't you love it when a partner goes out of their way to make someone they love feel extra special!!!!!

It was such an honor for me to paint this amazing Marine! I felt blessed.
Each stroke I put on the linen canvas reminded me how thankful I am to everyone who has ever served in our armed forces.  I am so very grateful to each and every one of you serving in our Armed Forces for helping to keep America what it is today.  A country that is free. A county that I am proud to say I live in.
I am so happy to be an American.

So I wish each and everyone of you in our Armed Forces and your families a very Merry Christmas.  I hope it is filled with joy, laughter and many wonderful memories. And to all of you serving overseas, be safe, we can't wait for you to come home and know that you are in our hearts.

In honor of all our special men and women serving for our country I will be posting more on Harvey and Kimberley and anyone else who wants to join this blog
and share your story for the next five days.  So look for more news on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas Eve to everyone.  Hope Santa brings you all you asked for and more magic and Christmas miracles than your heart can hold.

Merry Christmas!

Be proud to be an American!!!!

Merry Christmas Eve from American Impressionist Artist September McGee

You Want What!
Santa is coming tonight and we have all asked him for many things over the years.
Many times we got exactly what we wanted, other times we received something
unexpected and even more special than we imagined.

As an American I am proud to have the freedom we enjoy. As an artist I am thrilled to be able to capture some of these moments on canvas which will last my lifetime and many more.

This is a painting of my daughter asking Santa for toys. When she was very young I had to sit on more Santa's laps than I want to say. Now she is grown (22 years old) and won't be home for Christmas.  It is our first Christmas not together. If I could ask Santa for anything it would be have her here with me for the holidays.  But I will celebrate when she does come home and will be grateful that she is safe and happy and healthy and that she is my best friend.  You can't get any luckier than that!

So I wish you all on this Christmas Eve, dreams come true, Christmas miracles (and there are many) and a happy wonderful holiday filled with laughter, fun and
wonderful memories.

Merry Christmas to all!

Latest work from September McGee!

Katie
This is an original oil painting on linen of Katie.  She is an Australian Shepherd and one of six dogs owned by a good friend of mine.  Katie is the smallest of all of the dogs, but she is the smartest and they all know not to mess with Katie. She mostly spends her days traveling with her owner as she is his favorite. Katie is one of the sweetest dogs you have ever met and it has been an honor to paint her.  Yes, she has two different colored eyes! and yes, she is beautiful, she is the queen of the tribe after all!
